Two identical women catch a quick glimpse of each other on a crowded street. While the "twins" never meet, their curiously symmetrical lives--one is a singer, the other a music teacher--have an ethereal connection. Krzysztof Kieslowski's dazzling meditation on identity may be a little too enigmatic, but his haunting tale of soul mates lingers long after the final credits.
