Amateur Golden Gloves champ Leon Johnson is forced to turn pro when his sister's expensive medical treatment financially burdens his family. He soon learns the ropes, but just as quickly he gets caught up in his own hype, loses the woman he loves and succumbs to the corruption he vowed he would change.
