Reseña de Horn Book
Cameron's been the man of the house since his father was killed in a car accident. Now the driver is appearing everywhere--possibly stalking the family--and Cam has to decide the best way to handle the situation. Peterson keeps readers engaged from page one of this suspenseful and touching (yet admirably unsentimental) hi-lo book. (c) Copyright 2011. Reseña de Booklist
This offering in the Orca Currents series laces elements of a paranoia thriller into a drama of a family struggling to overcome tragedy. Cam's father died a year ago when he was run down in a freak car accident, and now the teen has to shoulder the burdens of increased responsibility for his mom and younger sister. What he doesn't count on adding to his plate? The man who struck his father coming back into their lives. Even worse, the man seems to be stalking Cam's family, showing up at his job, at his sister's elementary school, and elsewhere around town but is it all in Cam's head? Compact, dialogue-driven writing keeps the atmosphere tense as Cam races toward a confrontation with his father's killer. What is really at stake, though, is coming to terms with a father, though much missed, who was emotionally detached from the family even while alive. A resonant, quick read from a reliable reluctant-reader series.--Chipman, Ia. Copyright 2010 Booklist
