Punta Gorda, Fla." J.K. McClelland was a Punta Gorda merchant who owned a sundries store with an ice cream parlor; he was also the town undertaker. It is thought that the dishes were manufactured to sell at McClelland's store, and not used for table service at the Hotel Punta Gorda.
