Aspiring inventor Ethan drops out of college and moves back home to take care of his younger siblings, Matt and Becca, when their parents die in a tragic car accident. While struggling with his newfound responsibilities, Ethan experiments in the garage with a device he hopes will generate wireless electricity. The machine instead seems to wake dead spirits in the home and the siblings struggle to contact their parents while grappling with the realization that some of the spirits in the house might be hostile.
