This photo of the driveway that ran along the east side of Peace River Lodge from Riverside Drive to a boat ramp on the river was taken after Hurricane Donna struck Charlotte County. The truck at the north end of the drive was Chuck Harrell's Green's Fuel Gas work truck. A note on Side 2, typed by Ecil Nelson Stout, mentions that "Chuck and Dad" (Ecil's husband, Oden Stout) "...worked over 3 hours in the water to clear it so we could get the cars out before the highwater ruined the motor on the red Buick. It was parked in front of the side entrance. Water went down before I could get a picture."
