This image is an enhanced enlargement of a photo of Nathan Henry DeCoster (1837-1912), founder of the Harbor View settlement on the north bank of Charlotte Harbor, surrounded by his grandchildren. The men standing to the left and right of the children are unidentified, but are thought to be his sons George and Nathan, Jr. The area originally platted as Harbor View is now part of Charlotte Harbor; Harborview Road is all that remains of the pioneer settlement.
