This photo shows a mural of pictures of the historic Wotitzky's General Store, painted on the side of the Hindman Insurance building at the corner of northbound U.S. 41 and Virginia Avenue in Punta Gorda. The Hindman building was destroyed in 2004 by Hurricane Charley, but the mural has been repainted in another location by the Punta Gorda Mural Society.

This post card shows three boys standing behind a large alligator displayed alongside a storefront curb. A notation on Side 2 indicates the photo was taken in Punta Gorda; this is thought to be the 11' 7" reptile caught by George Bryant, a settler on Alligator Creek, in 1900. It was exhibited to the public on Marion Avenue because of its impressive size and several residents posed for pictures with it.

This undated photo shows the view from the Hotel Punta Gorda Tower, looking southwest toward the corner of Marion Avenue and Taylor Street. A hand-written, unsigned note on the back reads: "The other day Doc, Anna Mae and I climbed to the cupola of the big hotel and I took these pictures. This shows Cooper's Hardware, Seward's and Seminole Hotel and Dixie Garage. You can look for other points of interest. The streets are crowded as usual."
