This post card shows the Presbyterian Church built in 1901 on Harvey Street in Punta Gorda. The card was postmarked in Punta Gorda on August 10, 1954 and is addressed to Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Galloway of Punta Gorda. There is a message on Side 2. The building pictured was demolished after hurricane damage and a subsequent fire in 1960; the replacement structure, a modern A-frame, was destroyed by Hurricane Charley in 2004. The congregation voted to sell the church property, originally donated by Mrs. Virginia Trabue, and relocate.
