This undated photo shows J.C. Galloway holding a wild bird on his hand. J.C. (Joseph Coombs) Galloway was a noted naturalist with an interest in ornithology who resided with his wife, Hannah Rude Galloway, in Port Allegany, Pennsylvania. The Galloways also had a winter residence in Solana; they became year-round residents after Mr. Galloway's retirement in 1946. Mr. and Mrs. Galloway are buried in Charlotte Harbor Cemetery.
