This color post card titled "Port Charlotte, Florida" actually shows an aerial view of the historic settlement platted in the 1800s as Hickory Bluff, which comprises the west side of the area now known as Charlotte Harbor. The divided highway in the lower right corner is Tamiami Trail (U.S. 41) and the street running parallel to the waterfront is Bayshore Road. The development seen in the background is Port Charlotte.
