This photo taken by J.C. Galloway is titled on Side 2, "Two Hours at Fernandina" with additional notes indicating the picture was taken at Fernandina, Florida, on March 8, 1937. J.C. (Joseph Coombs) Galloway was a noted naturalist and author who lived in Port Allegany, Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Hannah, also had a winter retreat in Solana, which became their year-round home after Mr. Galloway's retirement.

He and his wife, Hannah, also had a winter retreat at Solana, which became their year-round home after Mr. Galloway retired. The Galloways are buried at Charlotte Harbor Cemetery.
