Hotel Charlotte Harbor Spa Post Card
JPEG Images
Description
This post card shows an artist's rendering of attractive people in swimwear enjoying the beach in front of the Hotel Charlotte Harbor. The hotel, then called the "Charlotte Harbor Spa," and its swimming pool, touted on the card as "The World's Largest Spring-Fed, Sulpher Mineral Pool," are seen in the background. The slogan for the health resort, seen on Side 2, was "The Spa of Eternal Youth." This marketing ploy, an attempt to rejuvenate the aging hotel, was not successful. The venerable landmark was lost to fire in 1959.
