This undated photo shows the former bell tower and tin roof of the Trabue community hall. The hall was one of the first buildings constructed in Trabue (now Punta Gorda) and was used for public meetings, school classes and nondenominational church services until 1889, when it was purchased by the Methodist congregation. The Methodists added the bell tower and a vestibule and held their services there until 1914, when a new red-brick sanctuary was erected on the Marion Avenue site. The old hall was relocated to 233 Harvey Street and converted to a residence. This photo was taken during later renovations, when the home was refurbished as a bed and breakfast inn.
