This photo, taken from the intersection of Olympia Avenue and Taylor Street in Punta Gorda, shows removal of modern additions that housed the Sheriff's Office and jail from the old Charlotte County Courthouse. Demolition of the newer portions was undertaken prior to restoration of the building to its original 1928 appearance. It was reopened for public use in 2008.
