Return overdue materials by December 31

Thanks for holding onto your library materials immediately following the storm. We're ready for you to bring them back. Don't worry, fines will be waived when your items are returned before December 31.

Returns can now be accepted at Englewood, Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda libraries and at our Centennial curbside location. Book drops remain locked at Mid-County.

If your item has been lost or damaged in the hurricane, please let staff know. We will be able to remove the item from your account and cancel the bill.

What's happening at Mid-County?

Mid-County Regional Library on Forrest Nelson Blvd. received extensive damage from Hurricane Ian. Consequently, it will be closed for an indeterminate amount of time.

Books and other materials housed at Mid-County were packed up and taken away in climate-controlled containers. The restoration company is in the process of determining how much of the collection can be saved.

Port Charlotte Public Library is open

We're thrilled to announce that the Port Charlotte Public Library on Aaron St. has reopened to the public as of Monday, November 7. The library will be open 7 days a week, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., until further notice.
