About the Library

The Englewood Charlotte Library is a hidden gem located in the Tringali Recreation Complex. First established on McCall Road in 1962, the library moved to Placida Road in 1970 and then to its current location in 1989. As the community continued to grow, the library grew, too. A 2013 renovation doubled the size of the building and added the archives, making room for a collection of 34,000 items.

The Englewood Charlotte Library is exceptional for its well-organized resources and inviting spaces. It's easy to find a quiet spot to read, work, or study. Patrons can also enjoy a book in Charlotte County's beautiful weather at the library's own flower-filled courtyard or the adjacent Tringali Park and playground.
