Printing at the Library

No printer? No problem! Print at the library or from home.

Printing is available at $.20 per page for black and white or $.50 per page for color. Print release stations accept credit and debit cards only.

First, send your printing

Choose one of the methods below to send your documents. You'll have 24 hours to pick them up at any Charlotte County library branch.

uploadUse the web portal

Use the web portal to send your file, then pick it up at any Charlotte County library branch. You'll use your name or library card to send and retrieve your document. Enable location services to print from a mobile device. To change settings or print in color, tap on the blue bar.

Print from the menu in the program you're using. You'll use your library card to release your document at the printer.

Accepted formats are .pdf, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .bmp, .tif, .tiff, .doc, .docx, .pub, .rtf, .htm, .txt, .html, .xlsx, .xls, .pptx, .ppt, .odt, .xps, .ods, .odp, .heic, .svg, .epub, .vsd, .oxps, .wmf, and .webp.

The maximum file size is 100 MB.

Then, pick up your printing

Once you've sent your documents, hHead over to the printer at any branch to release your job.

At the kiosk, choose Card Number/Webprint User.

How did you send your document?

If you printed from a library laptop, or if you typed your library card number in the web portal, you can scan your library card using the barcode scanner on the kiosk. Place your card, barcode side up, on the white tray.

You can also type your card number on the screen.

If you used the web portal, you may have entered your name. You'll have to type exactly what you entered when uploading your document.

If you emailed your document, you received an email confirmation in return. Enter the release code provided in the email.

A list of all the documents associated with your email release code, name, or card number will appear on the screen. If you emailed your job, you will see each attachment, image, and the body email as a separate document.

Tap on the ones you want to print to select them. Your selections will be highlighted in blue.

You can see the total cost to print your selections on the screen.

Tap Print Job(s) to print your selection or Print All to print all your documents.

You can verify the amount you are about to pay on the credit card reader screen.

Swipe your credit or debit card in the machine's card reader. You can also tap to pay.

Printing should begin immediately.

tap Log Out

If you aren't printing everything in your list, tap the Log Out button to close your transaction.

This prevents other users from using your card.

Grab your printed documents from the gray tray in the middle of the printer. You're all set!
